SISTERS SUPPORT

Luke 1: 24 24 Now after those days his wife Elizabeth conceived; and she hid herself five months, saying, 25 “Thus the Lord has dealt with me, in the days when He looked on me, to take away my reproach among people

Elizabeth was pass child bearing age, and although she was happy to be having a child, it must have been uncomfortable to be seen in public so she stayed away. The scripture did not say, but even her absence shoulf have been a caused for concerned, but it seemed others stayed away.

When we are alone God will always make away. He always finish what He started. In Luke 1: 39 and 54 it says that Mary,  Elizabeth’s cousin visited her and stayed with her for about three months. God is interested in every small detail of our lives. Here are two women facing their own challenges; one is pregnant in her old age and the other pregnant and not married, and to make it even worst she said she had never been with a man.

As women let us be like Mary, even with our own challenges be their for each other, support each other when it is needed. Mary stood by Elizabeth. The joy was manifested from the time Mary and Elizabeth saw each other.

We heard no condemnation from either of the ladies. Don’t wait until the dust is clear, support each other in the middle of the dust. At the outset Mary and Elizabeth celebrated.

Let us celebrate each other through thick and thin.
