FIGHTING FOR OUR BLESSINGS

Feel like you are in a dessert place? You must have been blessed with all spiritual blessings from above. You are now wondering how could I have made such a paradoxical statement. Blessings and wilderness experience are two worlds apart. Not so though. Ephesians clearly outlined how the two relate.

Ephesians 1 tells us how blessed we are in the heavenly realm with all spiritual blessings in Christ Jesus. (Ephesians 1: 3 - 10). For this we jump for joy, but given what is happening around us we asked; how could this be? In my opinion the enemy is trying to make us believe that this is not true and so he raises up all kinds of opposition to prevent us from possessing and enjoying all that God has ordained for us. In the middle of all that is good we find ourselves in conflict.

In Ephesians 6 we are called to stand, we should not run away, but when we have done all we can, stand. God gives all we need to fight against the schemes of the devil. Our assigned weapons are not the worldly ones but they are mighty through God.  These weapons are available to us, but we need to persevere and rightly used them.

Be prepared. You're up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it's all over but the shouting you'll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You'll need them throughout your life. God's Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other's spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out Ephesians 6:13-18. (The Message)

May we pray together?
Father today our world is full of conflict, but we recognize that it is because of your poured out blessings. In your strength may we stand, and be strong as we use the weapons you have given us so we can be more than victorious, in Jesus Name I pray.
