PURPOSE JOURNEY

Have you ever thought about your God given purpose? I have.

We all have a purposes to accomplish. These have to do with different aspects of our lives. Our purpose was designed by God before we were even born. We were ultimately created to glorify God, and glorifying Him does not mean just words but how we do what we do; doing them to the best of our ability.

Finding and fulfilling our purpose takes much prayer, perseverance, and sometimes exhaustive efforts. We sometimes have to make ourselves available to be mentored, trained and receive advice from more experienced and mature persons.

We have to be over-comers of our fears in making the first step. The enemy is aware of what you want to do and will do anything to stop you so that God is not glorified. Be encouraged that Jesus Christ prayed and is still praying for you, and He will be with you through and to the end of the process. Philippians 1:6 being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. (NIV)

Sometimes we are afraid or unable to walk in our purpose because of something that distracted us in the past. This does not have to be so; we are encouraged in the Bible to leave the past behind ....No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead Philippians 3:13 (NLT).

Begin to ask God to help you to leave the past behind.......... Find someone to be accountable to, and to walk with you on the journey of emptying, forgiving whatever you may need to do, as you begin the journey of fulfilling your purpose.
You may wish to journal where you are coming from and how God has helped you so far, and how He has been speaking to you to move on.

I pray Ephesians 1:18 just for you .....I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints,
