VICTORY IN OUR PRAISES

2 Chronicles 20:15b & 22

15b.............This is what the LORD says to you: 'Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God's.

What encouragement. We might feel beaten up, trodden down, afraid, fearful, etc.......because we see the great army (the plans of the enemy) coming against us, but be reminded that the battle is not ours it is the Lord's.

If we read verse 12 we see that the people felt powerless and did not know what to do, but  their eyes were  on their God. That was when the Spirit of the Lord reminded them that the battle is His.

Further on in the chapter Jehosphat bowed in worship before the Lord, and all the people followed. Let us follow the example set out here and bow down and worship our God, inspite of the battle that confronts us.

In Verse 21 Jehosophat appointed worshippers. I can just imagine it was not easy for these people, but because their eyes were on Jehovah God they found the strength to worship

It is quite clear that their praises was not about the how they would be victorious, but it was praises for the splendour of His holiness, and thanksgiving for his love which lasts forever.

THIS IS THE HALLELUJAH MOMENT.....verse 22........"As they began to sing and praise, the Lord set ambushes against the men..........(enemies) and they were defeated."

Begin to offer praises, even if you do not feel like it, begin with a hum from deep within the praises will come out and we will feel the power of God and see Him work for us. Sing praises my sister and brothers

Let the praises go up and see the blessings come down.

Winsome - soaring in my praises
