Sometimes when the pressures of
life press us down we feel like God is far away, but this is the time when he
ever so close. He is the one who gives us the strength to carry on.
If it were not for the hard and
dry times we would not have the relief and victory to celebrate.
Today as you face the difficult
time remember that the reason you can face each new day it is because you have
the God of refuge and strength who is always with you in times of trouble.
Be encouraged by Psalm 46: 1 -5
God is our refuge and
strength, an
ever-present help in trouble.
Therefore we will not
fear, though the earth gives way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
Though its waters roar
and foam, and
the mountains quake with their surging.
There is a river whose
streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
God is within her, she
will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
