Wilderness Experience to PURPOSE

The Children of Israel were promised many blessings through Abraham, and we too as Christians have come to inherit these blessings through Jesus Christ. When the children of Israel left Egypt they because disgruntled and disobedient. I do not think they were all disgruntled or disobedient, but unfortunately when one among us, whether a relative, a member of the church family, a friend, or even the leaders that are over us is disobedient, the result can affect many persons and generations. The Children wandered in the wilderness for 40 years before getting to the promised land. (Remember how the LORD your God led you all the way in the desert these forty years, to humble you and to test you in order to know what was in your heart, whether or not you would keep his commands..... Deuteronomy 8:2)

One thing is guaranteed; God keeps His promise. He preserved a generation for the inheritance, and even in their wandering God took care of them, He fed them and, kept them healthy even made sure they had long lasting clothes. ( He humbled you, causing you to hunger and then feeding you with manna, which neither you nor your fathers had known, to teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD... Your clothes did not wear out and your feet did not swell during these forty years. Deuteronomy 8: 3-4).

Are you going through a wilderness experience? Don't give up, keep going. The experience may not even be because of your action, but because of someone else's choice. God never changes, He is the the same yesterday, today and forever. Just as He cared for the Children of Israel He is doing it for you. He has done it, and is still doing it for me through every wilderness experience. Forty years is a long time and He never gave up on them, more so us who is redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ.

It may not even be the result of any one's action; it could just be a test before your God given purpose is fulfilled. (See Deuteronomy 8:2). Make sure you pass this test, so you will not have to do a resit, as the process gets harder each time. The wilderness is not forever, just remember God is preparing you for a better day, and a good land: He will feed you in the Wilderness. (Observe the commands of the LORD your God, walking in his ways and revering him. For the LORD your God is bringing you into a good land--a land with streams and pools of water, with springs flowing in the valleys and hills; Deuteronomy 8: 6 -7).

May I pray with you?
Father you know us before we were even born, and you determined that the plans you have for us is for good and not for evil, and you will give us an expected end. As we go through the process of being in the Wilderness thank you that you will feed us and be our caregiver. Let us continue to walk in your ways as you preserve our Purpose for your glory. Amen
