BE ALERT, BE VIGILANT

I have been thinking on the word of God and Holy Spirit has strongly impressed on me that as the new year unfolds we need to be reminded again that we are in a war and as soldiers we are encouraged to be alert:~~~~~~~~~ Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 (NIV)


We cannot drop our guards. We should be aware that the devil will misrepresent himself as the best there is, pretend to be for us, He is the FATHER OF LIES, ~~~~~~~~And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. 2 Corinthians 11:14 (NKJV).

We must not allow the devil to outwit us but be aware of his schemes. ~~~~~~~~~~~ 2 Corinthians 2:11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices.

Let us be wise and do not live like the world does. Let us stay focus on God, stay in the word. Let us keep on the whole armour of God.

1 John 2: 15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[a] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever

PRAYER: Father we thank you for your word is is truth and which is quick and powerful and sharper then any two edged sword, and Lord none of your word will return you void. Daddy cover us, protect our minds and body, our spirits and our souls from the evil one. Help us to be alert, to be vigilant and to walk in your truth. Let us not look to the right nor to the left but seek your face. In Jesus mighty name I pray.
